James Newman

James graduated from the University of Tasmania in 1996 with a Bachelor of Commerce, his talent in being able to quickly identify and fix information technology issues has led to more than two decades working in the industry.

James’ expertise in servicing corporate and small to medium business and not-for profit clients with a tailored and secure service sets Interact IT apart from others in the field.

With a focus on business computing and accounting systems, James has an ability to know exactly what’s going on in a business and how to apply the right technology to make it work.

“I like to remove the headache so many businesses now face in keeping up with the fast-paced information technology environment we co-exist in.

“We offer peace of mind,” said James.

James has a keen interest in accounting systems, including JIWA, as well as extensive experience in working with multi-site Active Directory, Exchange Servers, WAN networking and Terminal Server deployments.

Investing in people is a top priority for James, who has built and maintained many long-term working relationships with his dedicated staff.

A dedicated family man, James regularly hits Tasmania’s bush tracks with his wife Sharon and two daughters Ella and Amelia.

He’s a skilled scuba diver when time permits and appreciates time spent at sea.
